For the one who does all of it
You sell the job, do the work and send the bill, and you do it all from one phone. TailGateBid puts the quote, the schedule and the invoice in one place, and it takes nobody else to run it.
30 days free. No card needed.
One job, on one phone
- A quote in the drivewayAdd your lines, or let Bid Partner draft them from a few photos. Send the link before you leave.
- Approval while you driveYour customer opens the link and signs on their own phone. You get an email, and the job is created.
- The job on your own calendarGive it a day and a time. Add your private calendar link once, and your jobs show in the calendar already on your phone.
- The invoice from the tailgateOne tap on the finished job. The deposit they paid is taken off, and you record the payment when it comes.
Three questions and you can quote
The name of your business, your own name, and the number customers call. That is all TailGateBid needs before you can write a quote.
Everything it asks after that can be skipped in one tap: a logo, a license number, sales tax, a website. Each skip tells you what is used in the meantime, and the question waits for you.
It does not ask for your rates first. Set what you charge when you are ready, or correct a price on a real quote and it is kept.
On your phone
TailGateBid opens in the browser on your phone. Add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app. There is no password to remember: you sign in with a code sent to your email.
What it is not
- It is not in an app store, and there is nothing to download.
- It does not take your customers' money. They pay you the way they do today, and you record it.
What your own hour costs you
An example with made-up numbers, not a going rate
Working alone, the hours you cannot bill still have to be paid for. Say you want to pay yourself $30 an hour, you work 40 hours a week and can bill 30 of them, and running the business costs you $1,500 a month. Each hour you bill then costs you $51.54. Charge $65 and you keep $13.46 of every hour. That is the usual way to count it, and an accountant may spread the overhead another way. Work out your own hour with the free calculator, which shows the sum step by step.
What Solo includes
Solo is $29 a month, for one person. It has quotes with options, add-ons and a signature; invoices, deposits and payment tracking; jobs, the schedule and the calendar link; a page for each customer; your website and reviews; and English and Spanish.
It does not have the board for tracking leads, the crew board, the cost and profit of each job, or full reports. Those come with the bigger plans. During the free trial they are switched on, so you can see whether you would use them.
Bid Partner works on Solo. Every business starts with free bids: how the plans work.
Every plan starts with 30 days free, and no card is asked for.
When you hire
Crew is $79 a month, for up to 10 people. It adds a crew board, a role for each person, and leads tracked from the first call. What changes when there is more than one of you.
